I love Battlestar Galactica! I haven't been able to watch it this season as Space moved it to like 11pm. Too late for a guy who has to get up at 5:30am

I think it means the last season especially after the revellations of the last episode... I won't give a spoiler but what happened to starbuck was predictable if you watched the old version.

Honestly, I'm annoyed by BSG right now. I will be incredibly happy with the next season and movie if they spend more time trying to find Earth and less time as the Apollo/Starbuck soap opera. I'm all for character development episodes, but enough is enough with these two. And, frankly, the fact that we have to wait nine months for the next season to start is ridiculous. I haven't been visiting the BSG site, so does anyone know WHY they are doing this to the fans?

I agree about the A/S stuff... it was getting excessive. However, as for the time gap between seasons, it might seem a bit long compared to average, but the difference with past experiences is that they're making a movie in between. I'm assuming they'll work on both, but they might need more time.

And besides, we'll have plenty to keep us busy: Doctor Who, Stargate Atlantis is coming back this fall... BSG season 3 is coming out on DVD in fall, too.

Heck, you could do a marathon and watch all BSG episodes on DVD untill the new season come out... you'd have to time it right, though.

Oh, yeah, and there's this thing called "Of Gods and Men" that should keep us interested interested. ;)

I'm frakking POd with BSG right now, this is the second time they placed an excessively long delay between seasons. I felt that the storylines have been degrading during the 3rd season with stories being too soap opera-ish. The colonial fleet is close to being trash, did you see that huge hole in the Galactice, let alone the condition of the vipers, the lack of food and water. Galactica is rapidly becoming a shantytown. Starbuck as a messiah?

Need I say more.

I don't think a saeson and a movie will be enough time to recover the story and get things back on track. I the original, the Galactica and fleet took over a generation to find earth.

Origional Galactica found Earth in 'Galactica 1980' which is technically Galactica season 2, it's canon, accept it.

No technically it was a spin off, Glen Larson and many fans do not accept it as canon. You believe what you want and I'll do the same.

Fans cannot just discount the events of 1980 because they don't like it. Battlestar Galactica 1980 had some of the original actors, the ships were exactly the same, it followed the same continuity of the first season, and it was officially licensed by the same production companies (if that doesn't make it canon, I don't know what does). Perhaps you do not accept it as canon, but I doubt you are the voice of the BSG fans. In the case of Star Wars, many do not like Jar Jar binks, however that doesn't mean you can just remove The Phantom Menace from SW canon. Star Trek Enterprise is often said not to be canon, however this is only because it is set in an alternate timeline, not because fans don't like it.
